I run a 400 SB w/ 10.5/1, Brodix aluminum heads ( Brodix recommends not
drilling the holes), EFI, a BIG Edelbrock water pump, 1/1 pulleys,
Griffin 16x24 3 core copper radiator with internal transmission cooler,
HPC coated headers, Ceramic coated pistons and combustion chambers, and
50/50 antifreeze. It runs at 180 water temp (180 thermostat) with oil
temp at 175 ( coated oil pump) at any cruise speed. It will go to 190+
in July in traffic. the electric fan kicks on at 200 in the radiator
outlet and seldom runs. After 50 minutes on the track at Road America,
oil was at 200 and water at 210, but cooled to 190/190 before I got back
to the parking lot... without steam holes!! Oil pressure at 35-40 lbs
cruise, 65 at 6500 rpm redline.

If yours overheats, antifreeze is not the solution.
