JTR (Jags that run) is a company that publishes swap manuals for putting
V8s into Jags, Z cars, S-10s, Volvos, etc.  They have a generic book for
putting V8s into older non-FI GMs, like Chevelles, Malibus, etc.  The
generic one is the one that has a chapter on the Astro conversion. 
Which, they say, is a lot easier than the S-10 because there's more room

I can recommend the S-10 conversion book; without it I never would have
gotten my conversion done.
