Why is that?  I was thinking TBI since it's more of a bolt-on as far as
replacing the carb.  Also, no high pressure fuel to worry about, etc. 
Even TBI would be a big step up from the carb that's on there.  Plus, I
don't know if I can get a TBI manifold.  I'm not even sure what kind of
block it is  :-)

Is corrosion a problem w/freshwater boats?  That's probably a dumb
question.

The gas tank is right there, I'll probably just use bent flared steel
line throughout.

Did you just run it thru the transom?  That sounds better to me than the
flame arrester that's on there now.
