Injector Clean

I have used Acetone in the tank with VERY good results. Some people have said
that it will hurt the fuel pump but it has not hurt mine. I had about three
gallons of gas left in the tank and I poured in one gallon of Acetone. The
octane is lower so you might have a slight spark knock under hard throttle. I
had a leaking injector in a 1988 Corvette not only did it help but it fixed
the leaking injector, I would not use it in a mechanical pump and carb. setup
because of the rubber diaphragm and needle & seat, but it does work in fuel
injected engines. I also used it in a 1993 4.0 Ford Ranger, it also worked
there too. you can buy it at most hardware stores in a gallon size, it is also
known as fingernail polish remover, Walmart sells it in a econo-size but make
sure it is pure acetone without any fragrance added.
