Ford Capri '92 ish

Has anyone experience with the Ford Capri Turbo (1.6L) '92ish model, in
particular the boost sensor.  I want to see if I can use it on the SC swap I'm
doing on my Fiat (the rest of the motor I stuck in a friends Ford Laser over the
weekend, runs beautifully).  Now the sensor has a manifold connection and 3
wires as follows:

yellow/green - 12V according to wiring diagram
White/blue - Instrument cluster according to wiring diagram
Black (gnd ?) - Instrument cluster according to wiring diagram

I presume the black will be gnd (otherwise I can't see how the electronics in it
can work, although white/blue could be gnd), but with the wires going to the
instrument cluster.

Do they drive the boost gauge directly ?
Are there driver chips in the cluster that drive the gauge ?
What is the output signal from the sensor, ac, dc ?
Is black gnd ?

hope someone can help as it may save me $100 on a boost gauge.
