I hear ya,
Sounds correctamundo!
I ran a 383 in my Bee from 1988(bought the car with the engine semi
assembled in a crate) til about 1992, when I swapped it out in the same
day for the 440 that Some friends n I built from a 1971-2 Newport that
had a 1969 cast 440 block from Pic-ur-part for $135 right here in
Houston...
Ran the 440 with a stock cast iron intake at first, then picked up a
performer 440 (Dual plane aluminum) intake, then a friend swapped me his
Holley street dominator for the performer and that's what I'm runnin
now!
ALSO have an Offenhauser Single quad tunnel ram sittin right here next
to me at the computer here, VERY clean and beautiful....
Just tryin to find a long nuff throttle cable to reach the dern carb
once I put the thing on the engine! Any ideas?
This 440 may be the one I put the turbo's and F.I. on, soon!
