These ECM's clock at 1 mhz, that's 1000 ns, I don't think you could find
chips that are to slow, most likely they would be more noise susceptible is
the they are too fast.

I have had problems with 'some' 250ns chips in my 7749 ecm.
I got a prom error and it went into limp mode.  I think he should
use 200 or faster.  On the other hand, I may have had some duds.
