Ahhh, but remember that a suck-thru turbo with a carb is actually a "Air
Fuel Separator" because the compressor turbin will throw the fuel against
the snail shell, causing a lean-out condition, thus turbo lag.  In a port
injected design, it's just air, no lag.  No wetting of the intake runners
also causing lag.  Note that almost all have the air-valve on the plenum,
with long runners to each cylinder, with the fuel injector at the intake
valve.
