floating flatheads

Pardon me for interrupting the spirited repartee, but what 
the heck is a floating bearing, Greg? I know about inserts 
and rollers, have poured and bored babbit bushes... 
Piston pins "float" in rod bushes - Unless they don't.
Perhaps you are referring to dip/splash oiling schemes, as 
opposed to pressure lubrication?
Anyway, would appreciate an elaboration.
