VSS Omit???

I was told a story that GM in USA  had used Chryslers Torqueflight
transmission in some of there larger vehicles. And they called the something
else other then a torqueflight so people wouldnt know ??

If this is correct I would like to hear from anyone as I have a 808 in a
Chrysler powered car and are having problems setting up a VSS.. If the above
is true i should be able to plug A VSS assembly directly into my box.
