I have a 96 C-3500 Vortech truck available ocassionally, I got one
of the first Hypotechs, but never have used it. I hooked it to a
simulator a few years ago, and did not seem to get any OBD line data
so probably uses another serial pin.
Since H-D truck the label says Fed. OBD not OBD2. When snapped to
a snapped-on data has a J1850 data stream and a serial stream. Also
this is a multi node OBD bus and I pick up various J2178-4 messages.
some have limited ability to modify instruments, door locks., trans,
brakes etc.
