EGR?

David,
Exhaust Gas Recirculation.  The purpose is to reduce emissions by reducing
combustion temps.  Too high temp would create Nox.  Bottom line if you don't
have to have this vehicle emssion legal and it is a "off-road" vehicle then
leave it off.
