None standard blow off valve danger.

Chris,

I just turbocharged a non-turbo car. In the process,
I added a blowoff valve. Initially I had it venting
to atmosphere. The ECU is hotwire MAF based and this
caused some problems with stalling on decel, and overly
lean on initial accel since the BOV would open slightly
and allow unmetered air to enter. Plumbing the BOV
outlet between the MAF and turbo inlet solved the
problems completely. It's a joy to drive again.

I will always plumb BOV's into the intake from now on.
Just makes good sense.

<<An oscilloscope on the O2 sensors confirmed what was happening.>>

Hmmm, since you already have a setup using a 'scope to
read your O2 sensors, would you mind posting the waveform
difference between the pre-cat O2 and post-cat O2 sensors?

TIA,
-Mike
