Hi guys,
I built an auxilliary fueler for my '85 Dodge Omni GLH. (Zener diode
limited voltage output of stock MAP sensor at about 14 psi.) Everything
over 14 psi was fueled by two auxilliary injectors that received pressure
information from a Motorola MAP sensor. I used their MPX4250 pressure
sensor rated to ~36 psi max... it has a linear voltage output with
increasing pressure. The next higher rated sensor goes up to 72 psi max.
(MPX5500)
The main problem I had with mine was that it was so damn small it was hard
to work with! (About the size of a pencil eraser.) Cost me about $20 & I
was able to order it from Radio Shack. I heard that Motorola also has some
new pressure sensors that go up to 150 psi, but I don't think you'll be
running that much boost. On purpose.
