Hi All,
Held back on this one as it is a very difficult DIY job... and as such
a tad
off topic but I see that some are interested in the topic so I'll
give a
little background.
LPG Tanks are certified to 375 psi safe working at 85 percent full.
Static pressure tests are 7 times working in Australia
The Liquiphase system was managed by an Injec ECU and as such
I did have a little bit to do with the project.
The advantages to liquid injection are simple
Increase in torque due to charge cooling approx. 15%
Increase in torque due to higher compression (13.5:1) approx. 10%
Increase in fuel economy pumping loses etc.
Oil contamination by combustion products approx. 70% less together
with
Bearing life enhancement due to slow burn characteristics 50 -100%
Lean burn at 19.5 -21 :1 A/F ratio allows drive by fuel with WOT
The LPG injection kits that we supply today are due to their costs
found exclusively on industrial engines.
They comprise the following very boring list of parts
injectors, fuel rails, pumps, filters, pressure regs, tanks, assorted
sensors
coils, modules, plugs, ecu, inlet manifolds, pistons & rings.
Most engines are "rescued" from a fate worse than petrol i.e. diesel.
There is of course no need to maintain a constant temperature.
Our systems are tested in 55 deg C environment and are capable of
safe operation to at least 75 deg C. At that point the safety valve
starts to
vent and plays merry hell with the rail pressure.
Only real issues are with the plumbing which requires licensed
operators
otherwise quite an interestion DIY project.
