EFI egg on my face

Does anyone know what the application is for
the Ford truck external EFI fuel pump?  Like what year, model
and engine do I specify to the Napa person?  While working
on a friend's Electromotive system, I found that his bosch external
pump ingested some crud from the tank, due to the
absence of a filter...   The pump is locked tight    8-)
