Since I have some time on my hands now I will try some asci graphics.

Two resistors that represent the spark gaps, we draw resisitors like this in
Scandinavia.
              gap                gap
             _____              _____
------------_____--------------_____---------

                 Coil

-------------/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\--------------
             ====================
                  /\\/\/\/\/\

                 coil primary

The current passes through both spark gaps, one is at close to atmosperic
pressure and the other is highly compressed. The one at athmosperic pressure
has a low impendance and acording to ohms law it does not produce a powerful
spark. The otherone requires a lot of voltage to jump the gap, this voltage
times the same current as the other spark gap equals a powerful spark.

Is this how it works?
If it is it is very similar to a dizzy setup. One low power spark and one
high power during each event.
