Autronic Questions

a) how good is the Bosch 4-wire O2 option? I really want to be able to log
a/f ratios so that i can tune the car myself. I'm not concerned about
running in closed loop with the sensor, but i do need it to be accurrate
outside of the 14.7:1 range. (more like 11.0 - 16.0). Will this sensor cut
it for that?

No, the Bosch 4 wire is only good for closed-loop around 14.7. This is a
worthwhile function, but don't expect to use it for tuning high load
conditions. Exhaust temp is very good for tuning.

The Autronics will accept a wide band O2, so long as the signal
conditioning is done for it. The ECU expects a voltage proportional to
A/F. You could probably use one of Garth's units, once he finishes...

b) how well does the boost controller option work? It appears to be about
a
$300 option. Is it worth this and/or better than a standalone boost
controller from Apex, HKS, etc...

The boost controller works great. Closed-loop, mappable over temp and
RPM. What do you mean by $300 option? It is built into the ECU. You do
need a duty cycle valve, and wastegates, of course.

c) does the SM2 offer any extra features that I should consider vs. the
SMC?

Yes. Traction control, and more inputs/outputs. I kinda wish I had bought
one, but they weren't available waterproof. Nice feature in a boat, you
know.
