Source for small throttle bodies

The AMC stuff you may find at Jeep wrecker? Olympic 4X4 (www.oly4x4.com)
in Snohomish, WA has a lot of old Jeep parts. I saw they have an '88
with a 258, that's bound to have a bbd. Try some Oregon wrecking
yards. Most will ship but you'll be stuck with the quality they send.

Where the heck do you guys find this old stuff?????

I visited a handful of wreckers today. Nobody had anything older than
the 80s and if they did, it was in horrible shape.

However, I did find some nice throttle bodies that might work
perfectly for my flat four VW engine. I spied a Ford TBI unit that
had two nice butterflies and the body could be separated from the rest
of the TBI unit. Perfect. I also found a couple Holley TBI setups,
but need to track down the cars they come on.

What is a reasonable price to pay for a throttle body? One shop said
prices start at $45 each. I didn't mention they were going on a
Porsche or they would have tripled the price. I try to act poor and
wear my army fatigue pants. Dunno if it works.

Still slugging through the archives. What a bunch of stuff. I have a
lot of questions to ask later on.
