No tantrum, just a basic stamp.

Curiosity is not a bad thing. While looking through the hard drive on an old 386
that I was given, I found some software for working with basic stamps. There's
some interesting programs written to control a robot, and a few other goodies. So
here's the thing: All I know about "basic stamp" is that it's a term thrown around
on list from time to time. It seems like something interesting to know about, but
then again, so does nuclear physics...

The question is should I keep this software, or is it just a novelty?

If someone's willing to throw a quickie description or a url to a good web page
with info about "basic stamps" (one that doesn't take a huge amount of time to read
through) this way, I'd be much obliged.
