Small injectors

I'm looking at retrofitting EFI to an old Porsche that
has mechanical EFI.  It uses injectors at are
essentially check valves, similar to those used on CIS
systems.  Ideally, I'd like to place the electronic
ones in the stock location, but there isn't a whole
lot of room.

The mechanical injectors have a 12mm OD and a threaded
body.  I would like to build small adapters so that
EFi injectors can be put in, so they'd need to have
~8mm OD if I want to get them in as far as possible. 
I've even heard of people threading the outside of
electronic injectors and screwing them into a
manifold...

Any suggestions?  Bikes, ATVs, etc?  I'd need
something on the order of 20 lbs/hr.  A catalog or
website with pictures and specs would be great...
