The oxygen sensor measures the partial pressure (concentration) of 02 in =
the exhaust. Because the cat is converting most everything to CO2 & H20 =
(theoretically) you should not see a "rich" reading, it will appear that =
the system has excess oxygen due to the completeness of combustion. =
Also, the cat has a little storage capacity, so you won't see the =
switching of the system (rich/lean) very well.
