T6 uses a version of the 67F687 to track the crank position. This chip can
cope with most if not all triggering systems out there. You'll have to check
with Pectel for your particular application.

Subject: Hitachi Ignition Trigger Disk / Pectel T6 ECU

I have a Nissan Skyline fitted with a Hitachi ignition trigger disk system
on the end of the exhaust camshaft.

It has the following information on the cover.

D6Y96-01

Nissan 23732 5L300

HITACHI ?Z21

It a single metal disk which has 6 square edged oblong holes each with a
differing radial length on the innermost diameter, it then has a ring of
small oblong holes and on the OD there is a small nick at one point.
Does anyone know how I might find out if this is an inductive or other type
of ignition system and what the specifications are?

I would like to fit the Pectel T6 Motorsport ECU ( twin wideband NTK Lambda
sensors plug straight in and no special interface required )
http://www.pectel.co.uk/products/t6/index.htm but am not sure how adaptable
the standard ignition set-up ( Hitachi trigger + individual coil on plug )
is.

Thanks

Hugh
