NTK UEGO calibration

I got the sensor from them and I use type 3. It comes with a high grade
cable terminated with a Deustch Autosport AS10-98 connector of the finest
quality so I suggest that you get it from them too, along with a cable of
suitable length with the mating connector. This will eliminate all doubts
regarding the sensor's compatibility. The NTK_LAMBDA_IDENT setting is indeed
used to read the sensor ID but you don't waste two analog inputs for that as
the first sensor uses its own separate input pin. If you ordered a T6M,
you'll need Deustch A/S connectors to make your engine loom. Check out
http://www.deutsch.co.uk I suggest that you use Raychem type 62 wire all
around for your loom and also that you plan for all accessories (wheel
speed sensors, dash switches & pots, CAN and RS232 I/O, K-type thermocouple,
pumps, fans etc) right away in your loom; you can group yet unused input and
output in a little 'patch panel', you'll save a lot of time later with
adding/trying out things. Note that PWM5 and PWM6 are low current and should
be used only for relays, and that DIG_GND if for the crank and cam sensors
only, everything else's ground is ANA_GND, AN1 to 8 of course but also the
SW inputs and ROT inputs. I suggest that you wire one non driven wheel right
away (using an Honywell 1GT101DC speed sensor, for example) this will enable
speed and gear based functions, some if them are fun to play with, such as
the start line strategy.

What kind of engine have you?

Have a lot of fun,
Cheers,
Axel

Subject: AW: NTK UEGO calibration

Hello Axel,

I have a demo of their Software, it has 20 predefined + autodetect. What
is your setting ? Did you change your setting for the new sensor ?

You can select an analog input function called "NTK_LAMBDA_IDENT", maybe
that is for reading the resistor, but I do not want to waste two inputs
for that.

Do you see an analogy of the number on your sensor with the cal resistor
and the setting in your ECU ?

Sorry for the questions, but I just ordered the ECU (T6M) and urgently
need to know if I have to buy the NTK´s at Pectel (about US$500 each) or
can just order the Honda 36531-P07-003 (about US$130 at my local Honda
dealer). Where did you buy the new sensor ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Bernd

They have indeed a number of built-in calibrations (12 predefined plus
autodetect)

Speaking of ageing, I just replaced my 650 hours-old sensor with a fresh
new
one and I saw no difference whatsoever. Either the T6 calibrates the
sensor
automatically (I think it does) or my sensor didn't age :-)
