Yes that is correct. How much they are tuned to a certain pitch I can't
say. However, I have found that the ESC modules are where every
thing is sorted out. GM calls them an 'acoustic filter'.
The ESC modules will respond to both a high amplitude within a certain
frequency range along with a rapid change in frequency. This allows
a certain amount of 'adjustment' to background noises.
