aniline as octane booster?

Is there a good reason aniline isn't widely used as an octane
booster? Or is it, and for some reason nobody lists it on the
label? It's pretty nasty stuff, but toluene and xylene aren't
exactly minty fresh mouthwash material, and both of those are
widely used.
