There are several companies besides superchips doing stuff with the
Honda ECU. Check out the hybrid honda page for some links

Raising the fuel pressure would be a good place to start. Pull the
vacuum hose off the regulator and see if it helps. If this helps, and if
you have a spare fuel pressure regulator, stick the FPR in the vice and
give it a little smoosh. It'll give a little more preload on the spring
to raise the pressure.
