"Coldstart Switch" switch does on a Motronic ML1.2

Motronic ML1.2 question

Does anyone know what a "Coldstart Switch" does on a ML1.2? It is in my 84
Porsche 944 but it is not connected to anything (pin 10). Apparently it is
an unused option by Porsche. Do any of you BMW or Volvo guys know what it is
and how it is utilized?
