Help me out, I don't understand where the reversion would be happening. =
Maybe I'm missing the point.
I'm guessing that you are referring to the effect where a MAF indicates =
an air flow higher (some times much higher) than the actual air flow due =
to the air passing by the sensor more than once due to reversion at the =
sensor.
Usually with a roots type blower the fuel is applied before the blower, =
therefore that is where the MAF is taken. Therefore, it seems that with =
a positive displacement blower there would be no reversion from inlet =
port / cam effects. =20
The roots type blower itself is a pulsing device and would cause a =
reversion like effect above the blower regardless of the load, but I =
believe would not cause any problems with increasing the apparent MAF =
output.

Subject: Eaton superchargers and MAF sensors
Some talk was made about reversion effects confusing MAF sensors...My=20
question is if Eaton (roots type but with vanes twisted into a 60 =
degree=20
helix) superchargers would exacerbate or help to eliminate this =
problem?=20
