Hi Paul,

Yes you are right.  I could easily see this since the effective intake
length (and possably cyl balance) would change between configurations.

A better example of limiting the other factors would be the improvement
with changing air filters.  If WOT vac. is 1" with the origional air
cleaner then there is no way you would get a 10% HP increase from the Mega
Gold Pure Unobtainium Super Delux air filter.
