DIY-EFI References

Hi,

I found your site through a web search.  Do you know where I can obtain the
message definitions for communication with OBD-II compliant vehicles?  SAE
J1979 (OBD-II) communications work fine, but when I try to go beyond that by
using SAE J1850, SAE J2178, and SAE J2190 to conduct extended diagnostic
sessions I have only partial success.  I seem to need manufacturer specific
message definitions.  I know that scan tool manufacturers come up with this
information, but where do they get it?
