Damping oscillating boost gauge needle???

I use a make of boost gauge that works fine in 90% of installations but
occasionally the needle will sense intake pulses and go haywire,
oscillating about and buzzing. Any ideas for a cheap and simple in hose
damper to put between manifold and gauge? Thanks.
