Hi List;
I am getting ready to order parts for the WB - O2 sensor. While pricing =
the sensor itself, I have come up with a HUGE variance in price and =
three different manufactures. The manufactures are:
1. NTK (Seattle Honda (Dealer) - $330
2. ECHLIN (NAPA Store) - $148.88
3. ECHLIN (NAPA on line) - $139
4. BOSH (Shuck's Auto Supply) - $99+Change
Which one to buy? Which is the highest quality (For 1996 models, Honda =
Civics were recalled for defective O2 sensors)?
BTW, are there any, Group Buy, PCB boards and Parts Kits still available =
and what is the cost? I think that if I am forced to buy from other =
than our "Group Buy", I'll get Flamed and disowned by the group :-( . =
Also, does anyone have an inexpensive source of Bungs to weld into our =
exhaust system (S/S would be nice).
IMHO, We really need to develop a real functional test of the =
electronics prior to connecting the O2 sensor. An O2 sensor simulator =
would be nice.
Also, IMHO, we need some way to calibrate our electronics for =
differences between O2 sensors. The one output plot of sensor output, =
that I have seen, does not give MFG tolerances (Is it +/-0.001% or +/- =
30%? Who knows?). Is the output linear from 800*C to ?*C ? As good as =
Honda is, I would guess that they have some way to electronically =
compensate for this non-linear, analog device.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me on these subjects.
