Hi,

 I am new to the list. Joined because I found the MegaSquirter site. I was wondering what is included in the "kit" and what is the current price??????

I defiantly want to get in before the group buy is closed!!!!!!

Hello Josh,

When we close the group purchase out (on 11-15), we will get the final 
number of boards and start re-quoting the price for PCB manufacturing - 
this is why we had everyone hold off on sending payment before we get this 
final number. The 100 unit mark was the big hurdle for PCB price reduction, 
higher quantities reduce the cost but not that significantly unless we make 
something like 500 boards. The price of setup and ATE testing averages out 
over all the boards, which helps as well.

The other thing we have to watch out for is those who sign up and then 
never follow through with the payment (i.e deadbeat). On the 4-layer EFI332 
board, we had about 18 units out of 230 which no one ever sent in payment, 
so we ended up losing our own money on these because we ordered the 230 
quantity from the PCB house to get that price. We have been selling these 
boards here and there over the last two years, and have about 5 left to go 
before we break even.

Some of the participants of the this group purchase are not associated with 
this list - these are the ones that concern me the most since I cannot use 
peer pressure as effectively (i.e. the deadbeat list).  We will just have 
to wait and see on this.
