Can you be more specific? What kind of non-success have you had with
them?

The only trouble I've had has been with an external timing computer
(8520 IIRC) that quit switching to the alternate retard when activated.

I've never had any success with them.
If it wasn't for NASCAR, I  don't think you see them anywhere.
