To all who took the time to forward their thoughts on this project, =
THANK-YOU!  A lot of good ideas were collected. =20

We've got 2 picturesque acres of empty land to potentially fill, and =
natural gas is on-site. The house design is done, and the noodling stage =
for the garage has just begun.  Weather up here is severe, so yes =
heating and A/C are prime concerns.  I think I'll also design a tunnel =
to interconnect the house to the garage, underground.  I can hardly =
wait........Saturday morning, snow blowing outside, Speedvision on the =
big screen TV, toasty warm & bright, latest toy strapped to the chassis =
dyno (yes there will be one), and the smell of coffee & breakfast =
wafting down from the loft studio/kitchenette above. The garage will be =
a hobby place, not commercial.

One question, to those who've lived with hoists for years.  What's =
better, a 2-post hoist, or a 4-post platform hoist with a sliding =
hydraulic lift assist in the middle? I can picture advantages and =
drawbacks for each.
