My problem with turbos is the lag (OK SC have lag too, but much less).
My car is designed for great handling, such that once your skill level
is up, you can balance the car through corners on the throttle. Having a
turbo makes this tricky, at least in my experience, hence toying with
the SC idea, which although still not as good as NA for responsiveness,
is a much cheaper way, at least with the rotary, of getting 250BHP
(giving 450BHP/ton).

The rotary responds very well to turbo charging because of the high
frequency and energy of the exhaust pulses. Have you experienced
failures
from the thermal stress on the turbo? You could always go with a
peripheral
port motor :-)
