plug readings vs electronics

What was the AFR fine for?
You did have detonation, as I see it something is wrong then. Either the to
aggressive ignition for the boost and mixture choosen.Or the boost for the
mixture and ignition choosen and soo on. On a turbo or supercharged car a
richer mixure is probably the best option.

If you had backed of the ignition a few degrees, would the EGT drop because
the engine wasn't detonating any more or would it increase?

EGT should make the EGT increase, but it is not a good way to determine if
the engine detonates. On a knock controlled car detonation will cause an
increase in EGT, at least if the engine management system retards the
ignition. But that is an other ballgame.

no it wasn't a lean mixture. A/F ratio was fine.
