diy o2 and tpi question

I had to add quite a bit of cold (choke) fuel to mine in order to kill it
wanting to stumble off idle after first starting it in the mornings...

Don't know if it was something due to my transplant (TPI in a pickup) or if
that's just the way they are out of the box....

I'm running ARAP code.
