25MPG from a GN, surely not. You must not be trying hard enough :-)

On the mileage front, Mazda seem to have adressed that, although I
cannot afford to buy a brand new side port exhaust jobby off them.

To put things in perspective, a standard rover K-series engine will
return high 30s (UK gallons). By the time Minister have turned it into a
230BHP 9000RPM R500 engine (the 500 is for BHP/Ton), you are down to
18MPG at motorway speeds (80-85MPH). But as the majority of se7ens do
very little mileage (3000 being usual)much of which is driving to the
track and back they are let off a minor drinking problem.

Confused about the multiple injector comment. Do you mean 2 injectors
high up, or 1 high 1 low to take avantage of different flows at
different RPM?
