-> Techline specifically says when asked that they do not apply their
-> own coatings and that the coatings they sell for industrial use are
-> not the same as the coatings they sell for individual use. I tried
-> to obtain some industrial coatings by ordering them from Techline
-> through a shop. I learned that the equipment required to apply them
-> is quite expensive.
I don't know about that... I use the "industrial" or "professional"
Tech Line products with the same sandblaster and air brush I used for
their DFL-2 product. They wanted me (circa 1998) to become a Tech Line
dealer before they'd sell me the stuff. Their explanation was the pro
coatings are solvent-based, and they were worried about complaints or
liability issues with schmucks baking solvents in their home oven. So I
filled out a request to become a dealer and gave them my credit card
number, and they sent me big quart cans of stuff, some of which I'm
still using.
There are several pictures of parts I've coated on my web site.
