[EFI] Source for high pressure 12v water pump

I've played around with the shur-flo pump for WI. I
think that the pressure rating has more to do with the
shut-off switch than the pump itself. I found that
the pump I used (thought it was 80psi.. it's the
higher psi one from Northern Tool). The maximum
pressure of the pump was > 200PSI if I bypassed the
pressure switch. I don't know how long it would last
at that pressure but I tested it at 175PSI for about 3
hours without a leak or failure. At 12 seconds a shot
that's a lotta runs before the pump goes kaput.. Also,
using the Aquamist nozzel, I couldn't see any
significant vaporization improvment above about 60PSI.
Mostly it just dumps more water with higher pressure.
I set my system up to recirculate the water, just like
a fuel injection system. I modulated the water pulse
width to match RPM and boost so that I got more water
with more power. I suppose that it would have been
simpler to use manifold pressure to bias the water
pressure, eliminating that requirement from the
control system. Anyway, it all looked pretty good but
I never put it into use. Decided to just fix the
poorly designed turbo system instead of patching it
with WI. Maybe if I spent more time at the 1/4 mile
track WI would be more appealing..
