From the First Gen RX-7 list:
"> Quick question, what is the approximate weight of a bare 13B 6 port (no
> accessories or intake system)?
With no water pump housing, distributor, exhaust, intake or flywheel,
but with an automatic counterweight, about 190 lb."
Wouldn't be hard to get it up to 300 lbs. with the manual flywheel,
water pump and housing, stock exh. manifold, accessories, etc.
A fully dressed 20B weighs about the same or more as a small-block
Chevy (aluminum heads and manifold, tubular headers), which is why
one of the list members went with the latter in his third-gen.
Another nifty alternative motor for early RX-7s is Buick/Olds/Rover
aluminum V8.
