The pump is well capable of generating the nesscarry pressure

You only need worry if you think the pump is not working right,
when the pumps die , they usually just stop.

The pumps are a pretty much standard item, used on all bosch
fuel injected cars, its a very capable pump, i have only every had one fail.

why not try the MegaSquirt controller from Bruce and Al, £80 and a bit of
wiring
and you could have a programmable ECU ;)
