Is BP Sensor needed in MAF system???

There were dozens, maybe hundreds of variation in how
the EEC-IV were configured over the years of
production. Some MAF did use BP sensors, but most did
not, it was a performance vs cost tradeoff.

Check out the Probst book on EEC-IV systems, there are
a bunch of wiring schematics, explantions of the
sensors, and a broad chronology of what systems and
features were used in each model and year (MAF, SD,
SEFI, etc.). It's not a perfect reference, but it does
a pretty good job of covering the subject.
