The thing that stands out most to me was a course taught by a guy who had
designed the oiling system for one of the huge post-war radials-- the CW
3060, if I have my numbers and mfgr. straight---

My main point was that I find reading the work of a "hands on" guy much
more productive than that of an intellectual "surveyor". Not too surprising
that Heywood is the most popular book, in view of the orientaton of most
academics !! (True at Cornell as well as most other places!)
