Is this really the case for a 'high speed' application like this. I would
have though, with this HP the velocities reached would be such that an
airbox of some sort would add at least 20-30HP. Not many % but every bit
helps. (not a plenum in the generally accepted sense of a throttled volume)

Is there accepted wisdom when this works? It gets tried quite a lot in
clubman classes, with varied results from no improvement to improvement from
5500-7000 but no increase in peak power, to an improvement across the band.
More often that not it gets done because people buy tapered throttle bodies
and forget to specify dual injector locations. Then as the thirst for power
hits then they need to find additional injector locations. All the stuff I
have read here in UK is purely empirical, as the F1 boys are too coy to
publish the interesting stuff to plebs.
