I have a 85 MR2 box, maybe california car, but might be just USA.
4A-G on the label, inside is a "40" pin dip which bares similar
numbers to Simon's and yours. ND151801-1190 E356-0160 and then
in smaller print 8452A, which looks to be a date code. If we do
in fact have 40 and 42 pin dips with similar #s. We are aleast one
oar short and have a big lake to cross.
Please check those pin counts again.
my box does jive with the 6801 data sheet as a possibility, there is
no memory chip. its all internal and run in internal ROM/RAM mode.
There is a 20 pin .4" package on the board, no data bus to it.
