Oxidation requires oxygen. Not normally enough in fuel. However hot fuel =
in the return line is highly reactive. Let's face it, gasoline is nasty =
stuff and we wouldn't go near it if we didn't have to.

I think what they're referring to is not oxidation of the fuel, but =
oxidation of the fuel line...

there again, if their fuel line could oxidize, so could (and does) any =
other rubber line.=20

Gas oxidizing has a simpler more graphical name

it's called combustion.

Sounds like another spark in an aircraft fuel tank story.
