Josh,

That's a relief, I didn't mean to make light of your problems.  I have
recently had the great honor of replacing 8 exhaust valves due to my
inexperience with cam timing.  Now I know how to do it right but those
teardowns are a lot of time and money.

I should mention that I didn't melt anything. :)  The
block was fine, the pistons were fine, so was the head.
 But I had 73psi compression in cylinder 4 due to the head
gasket. :)
